07. The importance of LETTING GO

Hello and cheers dearest readers!

I'm back here with some lessons learnt and thoughts thought upon.

I've noticed one thing in life. Many a times we are confronted by situations which we never have expected in life. However well prepared you might be and be under the impression that you will be able to think through any problem that life throws at you, very seldom you will be able to. Now, this does not mean I'm discouraging the preparedness you have in life for facing any situation. In fact, I highly encourage you to have that readiness to act on any opportunity and turn the consequences in your favour. One very important lesson I've learnt is that in life, not always you will have all the answers. But when you live with the mindset that everything is 'figureoutable', you tend to relieve a lot of stress off of you and the process of taking actionable decisions becomes so much more smoother. And a huge part of this process is letting go. At this point I believe that if I don't let go some things in life, my life would be a living hell. I remember how my dad says that - Happiness lies not in holding, but LETTING GO.

I chose to write on this topic because I wanted to brainstorm on some other side. Being a 20 year old, I have had a fair amount experiences in my life. I always used to think that letting go is going to make me sad cause I have to let go of something only to realize that's not true. Letting go can actually make you happy! What's interesting is that the feeling you get immediately after taking that decision might not be the best. In fact, you might feel like shit. But trust me, most good decisions in your life will follow that ugly feeling.

I am a firm believer of living your life to the fullest and having the most fun you can have whenever you get a chance. My point is that if just start thinking a little more long term, you will tend to make better decisions. You will have two types of situations: one where you think you have lost everything and have nothing on your side. But that dark tunnel will direct you towards a very bright end. The other situation is when you think you have everything that you aspire, but the reality is that its not worthwhile and sustainable. So eventually, you will be better off letting those awesome-seeming things let go in life.

But my friend, by all means, I want you to make mistakes and learn from them. Go get crazy and don't be afraid of anything. Life is shorter than you think it is. I'm here to express my feelings and thoughts and you can see if you resonate with it. Go get the life you want.

Thanks and cheers again!
