08. Taking it IN!

 Hello hello beautiful people!

I know I know, it’s been a minute but trust me I have some exciting news ahead 😉.

The end of last year was actually crazyyy. I wanted to let you know that I’m not going to talk a lot about those times because they weren’t the most pleasant. However, there’s positive things happening in my life and I’m super happy and grateful.

So I had exams in December and then it was the new year. I’ve always wanted to stay consistent with my health and fitness but other things in life always become a reason to break the consistency. But trust me when I say this, I’m in the best shape that I have ever been. I know there’s a long way but what I also know is that it’s a moment at a time. I’m super proud about the fact that I’ve stayed consistent with my gym routine and health and I’ve discovered great potential with my body.

What’s important to me is that I’ve managed to do that with university and work. Talking about work, your boy Sunny right here is a PBA now 😎!!! PBA is Personal Banking Associate and I now deal with clients one on one in my own office. Yessir that’s right. I get my own business cards and my personal phone extension. I am super proud of myself and my family is too. It’s been a month now and I’m loving it. There’s so much to learn and there’s no dull days. Each day is exciting with new problems and new solutions. I’m grateful and I take a moment to congratulate myself and all the hard work I’ve put in. I also appreciate my mentors. Without them, I’m nothing.

All this aside, I found myself in a position that I’ve never been in before. So I get the news that I’m getting promoted. I was happy and then life gets busy and things start flowing as usual. Several days pass by and it’s the night before I start my new role. I realize that I’ve still not been able to digest this achievement. So I take myself on a walk to sit down and tell myself that it’s finally happening. I worked hard for this and succeeding at work along with fifteen different things as an international student has always been a mission. But I chose this life and I’m grateful that I get to manage these things.

Moral of the story is that always find time to celebrate even the smallest achievements in life cause there’s only one life. While aiming high is great, it’s equally important to make time to appreciate your journey.

Thanks for reading.

Stay happy and keep SMILING. 😃

Sunny.
